And now for another installment of...drumroll please...Saturday Spankings! My excerpt is from my paranormal shifter book, Hair of the Dog. I took some liberties with the 7-8 sentences allowed because I had some shorties.

Excerpt:

The word "stop" stuck in his throat, right behind "don’t" and "no". When the words bubbled from his mouth, they spilled out in a jumble. "No. Don’t. Stop," he said between heaving breaths.

"No," she purred. "I won’t." Her nails raked the length of his torso.

Grant recoiled from the painful pleasure. Ivy’s body writhed against him, her taut nipples pressing into his flesh, her leg twining with his like she might climb him. He fought the impulse to dig his fingers into the softness of her hips and breasts, same as he fought the prickly head-to-toe heat. His hair and nails itched and ached from the urge to shift.

Lucky in Love

With most things in life, love included, I think there is an element of luck involved. Right place/right time. BOOBS & BUTTS & THIGHS OH MY!

I didn't want to do it, but I finally put a content warning on my blog. Why? Well...

Here's reason number one. It's just a little bit of butt...but I tried to put this awsome cover in a Romantic Times advertisement and they said "no, no, no". This cover had to go back to the art department for some fog to hide her crack.

This is Guillermo's favorite cover because he likes big butts. And clearly the guy on the cover likes what he sees.

I've been lucky in that my excerpts have been for the most part PG rated, but my next cover for Silk Stalkings is also a little racy and my EDGE release from Decadent is all kinds of naked and spicy. So it was simply time to put a warning on my blog. Consider yourself warned.

Sizzling Hot Book Reviews!

Guillermo and I were in the car taking a little day trip. We visited some quaint little towns that reminded me of Mystic Springs, the little town in Hair of the Dog. I snapped some photos. He drove as I finished up some edits and played around on my Droid, checking emails and such.

With a hint of dread in my voice, I said, "I got my first review for Hair of the Dog." "Que'," he replied. So I repeated my statement and told him how I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach whenever I know I have a review. Why? I don't know. They're usually good.

Here's part of what Heather said: "Hair of the Dog, a novella by Kelli Scott, is an intriguing and absolutely delightful story that will be sure to leave you laughing with hysterics one minute, and filling you with passion in the next."
