Something New Something Naughty Blog Hop

I love the title of this blog hop. Something New Something Naughty Blog Hop. It was like divine intervention. I knew I had to join. Even though the New is about the New Year, it reminded me of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, which reminded me of weddings.

Am I losing you? Stay with me. Weddings made me think of my 2011 debut erotic novella, Stormy Wedding. It's not new, but it is naughty. And I never get tired of looking at the cover.

Like the old saying goes, everything old is new again, and that's the case with Stormy Wedding. It has recently been released in Ellora's Cave Branded line print anthology, Wedded Bliss (also a great cover).

What do you think of anthologies? Is it a great way to discover new authors or favorite reading subjects or not????? Leave me a comment (with your email address) and I will enter you in a random drawing for a print copy of Wedded Bliss (US only).

    1. I do too! Someone gave me an anthology on zombie romances. Anthologies are a way to find several different takes from different authors on the same genre. Even if it is about zombies.

  4. Hi Kelli,

I actually like anthologies that contain several short stories from the same author. The problem I have with anthologies that showcase several authors is I might like one or two stories and the others I don't like at all, so I actually prefer finding a favorite author and buying all of her or his stories. I have discovered the best way to find an author is through free reads(through online retailers like All Romance Ebooks or from my local library). If I like an author's free read, it is likely I will buy everything in print or ebook. It's probably just me who shops like this but it works for me.
    Cheers, Susan

  8. I like anthologies once in a while. I like to be introduced to new authors via familiar authors, but after reading the short stories I find myself wanting more and felling a little cheated because the story was too short.

  10. Those are nice covers! I like anthologies on occasion. I generally prefer novels, but will pick up an anthology when there's a story by an author I know I like.

    1. I agree. It's easier for me to commit to a shorter read from an unknown (to me) author instead of a novel.

  18. Anthologies are great for discovering new authors. But I hate when they have a story in a series and it is not marked. I am a little OCD when it comes to reading series in order!
    Thanks for hopping!

    1. Agreed. I have not written a "true" series, although I hear readers love them. If I did, I think I would write them so they would stand alone. Me I'm think I'm too ADD to write a series. I'm off to the next big adventure.

  19. I like anthologies. I'm able to read one complete story before bed. Each is self-contained and a great "quickie" in the evening.

  25. I like anthologies, it gives you the chance to meet new authors and old favorites, plus if you like a certain genre or theme, like weddings or cowboys, you get a bunch of stories guaranteed to revolve around that theme, which is a bonus.
